FunChat Games adds a real-time multiplayer gaming layer to India's most popular anonymous chat platform. Currently featuring Tic Tac Toe, it lets you challenge a random stranger, play with a specific friend via invite link, or test yourself against an AI bot — all from your browser with zero download required. This is the complete guide.
The Five Game Modes
vs AI
Play against FunChat's bot. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard. Available anytime — no opponent needed.
Random Match
Instantly matched with a random online player. The fastest way to find an opponent.
Play with Friend
Share a 6-digit code or invite link. Your friend joins with one tap — no account needed.
Live Challenge
See who's online on FunChat and send them a direct game challenge. Real-time match.
Pass & Play
Two players, one device. Take turns passing the phone. No internet required.
How Random Matchmaking Works
When you tap Random Match, FunChat's matchmaking system scans all users who are currently in the games lobby waiting for an opponent. You are paired with the first available player and a live game starts immediately. If you win, lose, or draw, you can play again — either with the same opponent (if they agree) or by searching for a new random match.
The matchmaking is completely anonymous. Your opponent sees your FunChat username but nothing else. No location, no profile, no history.
Playing with Friends — Step by Step
Select Play with Friend
From the Games home screen, tap the Friend option.
Create a Room
Tap Create Room. FunChat generates a unique 6-digit code and invite link instantly.
Share with your friend
Send them the code via WhatsApp, or share the link. They open it on their phone and join automatically.
Play
The game starts as soon as both players are in the room. Real-time, live moves.
The AI Bot — Difficulty Levels
FunChat's AI opponent offers three difficulty settings that genuinely differ in how they play:
- Easy — makes occasional random moves. Good for children or complete beginners. Beatable without strategy.
- Medium — blocks obvious wins and looks 1-2 moves ahead. Requires basic strategy to beat consistently.
- Hard — plays near-optimal Tic Tac Toe using minimax algorithm. The best you can do against it is a draw. Use this mode to practice forcing draws.
The Global Leaderboard
Every win in a random match or live challenge counts towards your position on FunChat's global Tic Tac Toe leaderboard. The leaderboard shows the top players by win count and is visible to all users. It adds a competitive element to what would otherwise be casual play — and gives frequent players something to chase.
Wins against the AI bot or in Pass & Play mode do not count towards the leaderboard — only real online opponents do.
